Psilocybin
Psilocybin is a naturally occurring psychedelic compound found in certain mushrooms and is converted in the body to psilocin. Psilocin acts mainly on serotonin receptors, especially 5-HT2A, altering perception, mood, and cognition; it is being studied for potential psychiatric uses but can also produce intense psychological effects.
