Dopamine Fast
A dopamine fast is a self-imposed period of avoiding stimulating activities such as social media, gaming, or other high-reward behaviors. The idea is to reduce habitual cue-driven reward seeking and make everyday activities feel less overstimulating, although the term is not a formal medical concept and its effects are largely behavioral rather than biochemical.
