Prasugrel

Prasugrel is an antiplatelet medication used to reduce clot formation in people with acute coronary syndromes who undergo coronary stenting. It blocks the P2Y12 receptor on platelets, which prevents platelet activation and aggregation and lowers the risk of arterial thrombosis, but also increases bleeding risk.
