Neuromuscular Blocking Agents

Neuromuscular blocking agents are anesthetic drugs used to produce temporary skeletal muscle paralysis during surgery or intubation. They block transmission at the neuromuscular junction, either by competing with acetylcholine or by depolarizing the end plate, which facilitates controlled airway management but does not provide pain relief or sedation.
