Naltrexone (Opioid Antagonist)
Naltrexone is an opioid receptor antagonist used to help prevent relapse in opioid and alcohol use disorders. By blocking opioid receptors, it reduces the rewarding effects of opioids and can blunt alcohol-related reinforcement, but it can also precipitate withdrawal if opioids are still present.
