Clindamycin is an antibiotic used for certain bacterial infections, especially involving skin, soft tissue, bone, and some anaerobic organisms. It inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, which stops bacterial growth and can help clear susceptible infections.
