Nail Fungus (Onychomycosis)
Nail fungus, or onychomycosis, is a fungal infection of a fingernail or toenail that commonly causes thickening, discoloration, brittleness, separation from the nail bed, or debris beneath the nail. It usually develops when fungi enter through small breaks in the nail or surrounding skin and can persist or spread to other nails without treatment.
