What is it
The Thyroid Standard checkup is a standard panel for reviewing thyroid-related markers together. It includes Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, Free Thyroxine, and Free Triiodothyronine, giving a focused view of the thyroid measurements included in this checkup. Results are intended for educational reference and may be discussed with a clinician when a medical condition is involved.
What's included
The panel brings together three complementary thyroid markers: Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, Free Thyroxine, and Free Triiodothyronine. Thyroid Stimulating Hormone is assessed alongside the free forms of thyroxine and triiodothyronine, combining a stimulating signal with two circulating thyroid hormone measurements.
Including these markers together allows the results to be considered as a group rather than as isolated readings. This provides an overall picture built from different thyroid-related measurements, with each marker contributing its own part to the assessment. The panel is therefore designed to show how these measurements align with one another, supporting a more complete review than any single marker alone.
How to prepare
Fasting is not required for Thyroid Standard. The test uses a serum sample.
